It&#8217;s also important to find and then train front line staff on the best customer service approaches and words that will maintain customer loyalty to your program.<br \/>\n<strong>Offer a LERN online course<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen you cancel the course, offer the affected students a LERN and UGotClass online course instead. The continuing education program at the University of Richmond, for instance, always offers a LERN\u2019s UGotClass course if an in-person class is being cancelled. UGotClass courses are never cancelled.<br \/>\n<strong>Offer Vouchers<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen you cancel a course, you are morally, if not legally required to give a refund. BUT, before you take the time and cost of writing a check, offer a voucher to the participant for a future class.<br \/>\nAt least one program even offers 1.5 times the course cost in the voucher.\u00a0 What programs report is that only about half the people will actually redeem the voucher for another class, yet all participants accepting a voucher feel positive about receiving the voucher.<br \/>\n<strong>Offer them another F2F course<\/strong><br \/>\nOne time a French class was cancelled, but a student was happy to take Urdu instead.\u00a0 No, we don\u2019t know why \u2013 don\u2019t ask.\u00a0 Just give your students the option of taking another course instead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Instead of just cancelling a course and losing a customer, think about offering options to your participants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":17682,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"footnotes":""},"tags":[528,529,530],"club_category":[767,777,780,781],"class_list":["post-8722","club_article","type-club_article","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-general","tag-operations","tag-programing","club_category-club-articles","club_category-general","club_category-operations","club_category-programing"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
