{"id":17871,"date":"2014-04-21T12:30:16","date_gmt":"2014-04-21T12:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lern.org\/?p=1214"},"modified":"2021-08-02T12:22:12","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T17:22:12","slug":"lern-transitions-institutes-a-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lern.com\/lerntest\/lern-transitions-institutes-a-record\/","title":{"rendered":"LERN Transitions: Institutes a record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LERN\u2019s curriculum for the field of lifelong learning programming was advanced significantly last month with a 10-year record.<br \/>\n<div id=\"attachment_1218\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lern.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/in2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1218\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1218\" alt=\"LERN\u2019s Fred Bayley was a fountain of knowledge at this year\u2019s Institutes.\" src=\"https:\/\/lern.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/in2-300x127.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"127\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1218\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LERN\u2019s Fred Bayley was a fountain of knowledge at this year\u2019s Institutes.<\/p><\/div>\nattendance at the LERN Institutes in New Orleans.\u00a0 At the same time, the week was big in LERN\u2019s transition to Gen X and Gen Y.<br \/>\nNew certifications premiered for the Certified Marketing Planner (CMP) and the Certified Professional Programmer (C2P).\u00a0 The six course curriculum now represents the most comprehensive and intensive training curriculum for the field of lifelong learning programming ever.\u00a0 The six courses start with the fundamental Program Management Institute and then offer five additional specialties:<br \/>\n-Marketing<br \/>\n-EMarketing<br \/>\n-Contract Training<br \/>\n-Advanced Programming<br \/>\n-Operations and Staffing<br \/>\nThe curriculum provides professional training for all the top skilled positions in a lifelong learning program.<br \/>\n<strong>LERN TRANSITIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nAt the same time, LERN continued its transition to be more inclusive of Gen X and Gen Y.<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s Institute was the last Institute for LERN\u2019s top presenter, Julia King Tamang, who will be going on a three year retreat next year.\u00a0 It was the last Institute where Julie Coates, LERN\u2019s nationally known researcher on learning, was a full time presenter.<br \/>\nSuzanne Kart took over the reins in running the Institute from Greg Marsello, who has handled the logistics for the past 20 years.\u00a0 And a team of four new Gen Y staff members at LERN assisted in running the Institutes, as well as receiving training by participating in the Institutes.<br \/>\nWith the LERN curriculum LERN is encouraging every lifelong learning program to have at least one staff member trained in operations, marketing and programming.
