{"id":17872,"date":"2014-04-21T13:09:18","date_gmt":"2014-04-21T13:09:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lern.org\/?p=1225"},"modified":"2021-08-02T12:23:36","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T17:23:36","slug":"sell-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lern.com\/lerntest\/sell-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Sell time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sell time, the value of time, and the experience of time in your promotions, especially to Gen Y.\u00a0 Gen Y is a generation that values its<a href=\"https:\/\/lern.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/selltime.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1226\" alt=\"selltime\" src=\"https:\/\/lern.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/selltime-280x300.jpg\" width=\"280\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a> time more than any other previous generation, and is more attracted to products that are persuasive as a good use of one\u2019s time.<br \/>\nThat\u2019s the news from LERN\u2019s lead researcher Julie Coates, who found evidence that you may want to use the experience and word \u201ctime\u201d in your program promotions.\u00a0 Coates referenced the new study in her presentations at LERN\u2019s Advanced Programming Institute last month.<br \/>\nIn the article, one test had three different signs advertising a lemonade stand.\u00a0 T<strong>he sign stressing time attracted twice as many people, who were willing to pay twice as much.<\/strong><b><\/b><br \/>\nThe evidence was reported by Gregory Ciotti in Kissmetrics, a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.kissmetrics.com\/5-psychological-studies\/\">blog about analytics, marketing and testing<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe article concluded that \u201cyou\u2019ll see that catering to consumer\u2019s most precious resource, their time, can be more persuasive than even the most drastic of price reductions.\u201d<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s LERN <a href=\"https:\/\/lern.org\/conference\/advanced-programming-institute\/\">Advanced Programming Institute<\/a> had the most participants ever, and premiered the new Certified Professional Programmer (C2P) designation.
