Advocate Louder, Please

Raise the volume and advocate for your lifelong learning program even more loudly in 2018. We are now in a critical phase of transformation of your institution, and the role of your lifelong learning program in your institution moving forward.
Here’s how to do it:

  1. Raise the volume.
    Raise the volume on highlighting your program’s positives and successes. If that means shouting with a smile, do it.
  2. Tell them Why.
    Let all decision makers and stakeholders know why your lifelong learning program is critical and central to your institution, both in terms of mission and in terms of money.
  3. Respond to misinformation.
    Respond aggressively and positively to misleading or non-factual allegations and perceptions. The communication should be fact-based and unemotional.
