Get hotel room as soon as you can
Our conference director is working on getting more hotel rooms, but with other big events in Savannah before and after the LERN conference, book your room as soon as you can to get the hotel amenities, price and location you want.
Partnerships: New and advanced
Partnerships are so hot right now we have two sessions for you. One is for community programs, specific for recreation and parks departments and community education in public schools. The other session is for continuing education programs in colleges and universities.
Both are led by practitioners with successful partnership efforts.
Final brochure is out!
With the exciting agenda, presenters, new subjects, and the best practical how-to information in the field. If you did not get a copy of the final brochure in the mail, just email us at [email protected]
New book premieres
As part of the Julie Coates Recognition Breakfast, Ms. Coates will premiere a new book on learning styles at the conference. How will Gen Z learn differently? How best to train workers on the autism spectrum. The latest on gender in the classroom. And more.
Savannah Pick
Evening ghost tour. Savannah is famous for its ghostly tradition. It’s a fun trip. LERN has one scheduled just for conference participants; or take one of the tours open to the public.
Savannah Restaurant Pick
Sit in one of the several riverside restaurants, get a table with a view of the river, and watch both the people strolling by, and the huge ocean going ships coming into the harbor. The restaurants, like The Shrimp Factory and The Cotton Exchange, are on River Street, within a few blocks of your hotel. It’s also the place where you can catch the free water taxi over to the LERN conference in the Savannah Convention Center.
