Layne Harpine, LERN Senior Consultant, and LERN President William A. Draves

Layne Harpine, 44, of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, has joined the LERN staff as its new Senior Consultant in the area of workforce development and contract training.
He will succeed Julia King Tamang as LERN’s lead consultant in contract training after she enters a three year retreat in early 2015.
Harpine has a background in business, having worked as a corporate business consultant with Mobil Oil for several years.  He also has taught and has been a higher education administrator for the past 14 years, with the last five years in executive leadership.  He has been pursued for several college presidencies but chose to work with LERN.
“We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Layne’s experience and expertise join the LERN team,”  noted LERN President William A. Draves.
