Each Year, LERN accepts nominations for the LERN International Awards competition. The purpose is to recognize best practice in the field of lifelong learning, continuing education, and recreation. Winning nominations will focus on practice that is innovative, replicable and which can serve as a model for others, and will include documentation of impact or success. Winners are announced at the awards luncheon at the LERN annual conference, and following the recognition of winners, there is an opportunity for conference attendees to interact informally with winners at a post-luncheon poster session. Awards are granted in several categories which are outlined in the nominations guidelines. Winners receive additional recognition on the LERN website, in LERN newsletters and magazines, and through press releases sent to winning programs for distribution to local media.
Posters are created for all nominations and are displayed in the Hall of Learning during the annual conference in order to share your exceptional achievements with LERN colleagues. We encourage you to submit your successes for this year’s competition and receive recognition from LERN, the largest lifelong learning association in the world.
