Text Us says the Parkway-Rockwood Community Education program in Ellisville, Missouri, the first LERN member program we know of to invite people to text them.
Kelly Regan says, “We get 5-10 text messages a week. We are finding its use by customers continues to increase. It is definitely a value added for our customers and we plan to continue.”
In its Contact Us area on its web site, the program simply states “Call or Text us at 636-891-6644.”
“We are even seeing it used by residents who do not speak English as their first language, which is great! Adds Regan. “We have also expanded the text feature in our hiring efforts where we tell people to text ‘Hire Me’ to express interest. We also use outgoing texts we send out to notify patrons of important program details.”
Overall, it has been a value added to our organization, she says.
